DWI Arrest

On April 27th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 69 year old Marianne Patnode of Hollywood, FL. Mr. Patnode was the operator of a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on Route 9 in the area of the Pilot Truck Stop. There was only one vehicle involved and there were no injuries. After impairment was observed Ms. Patnode was arrested for DWI. Her BAC was 0.12%. She was released with appearance tickets due to appear in the Schdoack Town Court on 06/07/2017 at 06:00 PM.

DWI Arrest

On April 21st, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 30 year old William Huber of Brunswick, NY. Mr. Huber was the operator of a vehicle involved in a traffic accident at the intersection of Maple Hill Rd and Route 9. His vehicle was the only one involved and there were no injuries. He was found to be imparied and arrested for DWI. His BAC was 0.13%. Mr. Huber was released on appearance tickets due to appear in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Public Lewdness Arrest

On April 18th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 23 year old Michael Mills of Schodack, NY. Mr. Mills was initially arrested for Disorderly Conduct as he was obstructing vehicular traffic on Shuurman Rd at the intersection of Columbia Tpk in an attempt to solicite a ride. Mr. Mills was released on an appearance ticket. Mr. Mills immediately walked to the Park and Ride on East Schodack Rd and was observed by the Schodack Police uriniating in public. Mr. Mills was then arrested for public lewdness. He was released under the supervision of probation due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court.

Falsely Reporting Incident 3rd Arrest

On 04/14/2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 49 year old Colleen Rogers of Troy, NY. An investigation revealed that Ms. Rogers made a 911 call knowingly giving false information which was relayed to the Schodack Police Department for an incident that occurred at the Scarnatos Restaurant in Castleton. She was arrested and released on her own recognizance due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Criminal Impersonation 2nd Arrest

On April 16th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 33 year old Anthony Palella of New Lebanon, NY. Mr. Palella was stopped on State Route 20 for broken brake lamp. Mr. Palella used his brothers identity as an attempt to avoid the discovery of his suspended drivers license. After an investigation determined his true identity he was arrested and processed at the Schodack Police Department. Mr. Palella was charged with the misdemeanors of Identity Theft in the third degree, Criminal Impersonation in the second degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the third degree and other traffic infractions. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail ($2500 cash or bond) due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Felony Failure to Register Arrest

On April 5th, 2017 the Schodack Police department arrested 57 year old William Vanalstyne of Schodack, NY. Mr. Vanalstyne, a registered sex offender, in conjuction with New York State Parole was found to have violated his requirement to notify law enforcement of an address change within 10 days of doing so. He was charged with a felony Failure to Report under the corrections law and a warrant was lodged for his appearance in the Schodack Town Court.

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Arrest

On April 2nd, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 31 year old Anthony Morris, of Schodack NY. An investigation was conducted in conjunction with New York State Parole as Mr. Morris was found to be violating his parole conditions. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Morris was in possession of a quantity of heroin and hypodermic needles. He was charged with the two misdemeanors of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail ($2000 cash or bond) due back in court at a later date.

Criminal Trespass 2nd Arrest

On April 11th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 43 year old Wayne Calkins, of Schodack NY. Mr. Calkins was arrested after officers were dispatched to 18 Oak Terrance for a possible domestic dispute. When officers arrived Mr. Calkins was found physically restraining the victim. Mr. Calkins was arrested for the misdemeanor of Criminal Trespass in the second degree and the violation of Harassment in the second degree. He was released on his own recognizance due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Order of Protection Violation leads to two arrests

On April 15th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 27 year old Sonya Brixius of Schodack NY. Schodack Police were assisting Columbia County Child Protection Services with an order of protection compliance check at the Bel Air Motel on Route 9. Ms. Brixius was ordered by court to prohibit contact between Robert Beebe and three of her children. During the room check Mr. Beebe was found to be hiding under a bed and pile of clothes, attempting to hinder the discovery of the order of protection violation. Mr. Brixius was arrested for Criminal Contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor and Mr. Beebe was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree, a misdemeanor, for his attempts to hinder the investigation. Both were processed at the Schodack Police Department and released on an appearance ticket due back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.

DWI Arrest

On April 6th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 21 year old Austin Nolan of Ballston Spa, NY. Schodack Police were dispatched to a personal injury auto accident on River Rd and Mr. Nolan was then arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after he was identified as the operator. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and two passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Mr. Nolan was arrested for the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the third degree. He was also issued several traffic tickets. Mr. Nolan is due back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.
