Disturbance leads to multiple charges

On November 22nd, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 26 year old Jordan Schultz of Ohio, Illinois. The Schodack Police Department was dispatched to the Comfort Inn and Suites on Miller Rd late at night and found that Mr. Schultz was creating a disturbance at the hotel but was being restrained by good samaritans. Mr. Schultz had started a small fire in his hotel room, damaged a phone at the clerks desk, and was attempting to go after staff before being detained by other hotel guests. He was arrested and charged with the felonies of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the First Degree, Criminal MIschief in the Third Degree, and the misdemeanors of Arson in the Fifth Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. He was remaned to the Rensselaer County Jail with bail ($10,000 cash or bond) with a preliminary hearing set in the Schodack Town Court.

Investigation leads to two arrests

On November 20th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested two individuals stemming from a larceny investigation. A report was filed for construction equipment that was stolen from a job site on Reno Rd. Two suspects were taken into custody the same day with some of the property being recovered.

24 year old Nathaniel Prezorski of Cobleskill, NY was arrested for Grand Larceny in the Third degree, a felony and the misdemeanors of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument after he was found to be possessing a needle and concentrated cannabis.

30 year old Lance Grady of North Greenbush, NY was arrested for the misdemeanor of Petit Larceny.

Both were released on their own recognizance due to appear in the Schodack Town Court on 12/13/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Assault 3rd Arrest

On November 19th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 19 year old Robert Burl of Schodack, NY. Mr. Burl was arrested for the misdemeanor of Assault in the Third Degree after an altercation occurred between him and a friend resulting in physical injury to the victim. Mr. Burl was processed at the Schodack Police Department and released on an appearance ticket due to appear in the Schodack Town Court on 12/13/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Arrest

On November 17th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 29 year old Antoinette McCloud of Albany, NY. Ms. McCloud was stopped on State Route 9 for running a stop sign. She was found to have numerous suspensions on her drivers license and refused to exit her vehicle when advised to do so by the patrol officer. She was removed from the vehicle by patrol officers and taken into custody. She was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor as well as traffic tickets. Ms. McCloud was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail ($2000 cash or bond) due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 12/13/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Possesion of Forged Instrument 3rd Arrest

On Novemeber 13th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 54 year old Diane Smith of Albany, NY. Ms. Smith was arrested after an investigation revealed that she had cashed stolen checks at the Sefcu on Miller Rd. She was charged with Petit Larceny and Possession of a Forged Instrument, both misdemeanors. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear back in the Schodack Town Court.

Aggravated DWI Arrest

On Novemebr 2nd, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 68 year old Douglas Conlan of Clifton Park, NY. Patrol Officers stopped Mr. Conlan, who was towing a camper with his pick up truck, for erratic driving on State Route 9J. He was found to be impaired by alcohol and taken into custody. His BAC at the patrol station was 0.25%. He was released on traffic tickets due to appear in the Schodack Town Court on 12/06/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Felony Possession of Marijuana Arrest

On November 1st, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 20 year old Jacob Blair of Nassau, NY. Mr. Blair was stopped on Columbia Turnpike for an exhaust system violation and turn signal violation. He was found to be in possession of approximately 1.9 pounds of Marijuana. He was charged with the Class D Felony of Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd Degree and released under the supervision of probation.

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Arrest

On November 10th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 32 year old Matthew Cunningham of Averill Park, NY. Mr. Cunningham was observed in a vehicle in the Sefcu parking lot on Miller Rd and taken into custody by an officer who was aware of his Bench Warrant out of the Schodack Town Court. Mr. Cunningham was found to be in possession of Heroin and Hypodermic Needles as well as driving on a suspended license. He was arraigned in the Schodack Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail with bail due to appear back in court on 12/13/20147 at 06:00 PM.

Petit Larceny Arrest

On November 8th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 45 year old Laurie Bush of Schodack, NY. Ms. Bush was charged with Petit Larceny after stealing products from the Rite Aid store located in the Schodack Plaza on Columbia Turnpike. She was arraigned in the Schodack Town Court and released due to appear back on 12/13/2017 at 06:00 PM.

Aggravated DWI Arrest

On November 8th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 49 year old Bonnie Fox of Nassau, NY. Ms. Fox was the operator of a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on Columbia Turnpike where she was determined to be at fault for following too close. Investigation revealed impairment by alcohol and she was arrested. Her BAC at the patrol station was 0.24% and she was charged with Aggravated DWI. She is due to appear in the Schodack Town Court on 12/06/2017 at 06:00 PM.
